In honor of Halloween, Pringles is giving some a chance to win a custom urn-shaped Pringles can and 200 years' worth of free chips. Before you get too hyped about this offering, there is a weird catch that will likely throw you off.

You'll need to prove your love

It's one thing to tell your friends you love Pringles, but this giveaway campaign is all about proving your love in a bigger way.

To enter the campaign themed "Once You Drop," you'll need to prove your love by pledging to have your ashes put in a Pringles can when you die. It's a little weird, it's a little dark, and not everyone is going to be down with it.

“Leaning into Halloween’s dark humor and Gen Z’s taste for absurdist storytelling, we’re putting Pringles on the salty side of Halloween and rewarding the ultimate fan in the most lasting way possible — by making the Pringles can part of their legacy,” said Mauricio Jenkins, Salty Snacks Brand & Content Lead, Mars Snacking North America.

Inspired by a real-life story

What makes the promotion even more strange is that it's inspired by the real-life story of the man who invented the Pringles can. When he died in 2008, he was cremated, and his ashes were placed in a Pringles can.

To enter the promotion, you'll need to sign a digital "will and taste-ament" that says you'll be buried in a Pringles can. You can do this by visiting the Pringles website.

The winner will be awarded 200 years' worth of free chips and a customized Pringles can.

Even your relatives can benefit

If you're wondering what the point of 200 years' worth of free chips is when you're not going to live that long, there's a fun answer. Pringles lets you pass it on to someone in your will.

Hurry up and enter the giveaway

If this sounds like your kind of giveaway, act fast; the contest closes on Oct. 22, 2026. The winner will be announced on Halloween.
