If you're already stressing about the cost of a Thanksgiving meal, Sam's Club could be the answer. While grocery prices are skyrocketing, the retailer is doing something most aren't and is offering a complete Thanksgiving meal for under $10 per person.

Cost-cutting to make a big meal possible

As people across the country start thinking about their Thanksgiving plans, many are feeling the pinch as they look at inflation and rising prices. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, food prices are up 2.5% versus last year.

This is where Sam's Club comes in and offers what is one of the best deals for the Thanksgiving season. The menu was worked on for a full year and is meant to feed up to 16 people while staying affordable.

The Sam's Club menu from last year only fed nine people, and yet the per-person price has stayed the same despite rising costs and inflation.

Choose from 11 offerings

Not only is the menu priced at $10 per person, but you also get to pick from 11 different food items.

Here's a look at the menu:

  • Boneless carver ham
  • Hickory smoked turkey
  • Turkey gravy
  • Yukon Gold mashed potatoes
  • Sweet corn with garlic butter
  • Two packages of green beans with dried cranberries and almonds
  • Two packages of macaroni and cheese
  • Yeast dinner rolls
  • Cranberry crunch salad
  • One charcuterie tray
  • Two 12-inch pumpkin pies

The meal will be available online and in-store starting on Oct. 28. You can purchase the full menu or customize it by adding or removing individual items.

One caveat in pricing

How you design your menu will affect the price, but keep in mind that Sam's Club also sells items by weight. That means the final cost can vary, making it cheaper or more expensive.

In terms of preparing the meal at home, it will take you about two hours with one oven that has two racks.

It could be the most cost-effective solution

As you start pricing out your Thanksgiving spread, the Sam's Club menu is definitely worth a closer look and could end up being the best value.
