Mattresses sold on Amazon recalled over severe fire hazard
If your mattress came in a box from Amazon, then this is for you. More than 49,000 mattresses sold on Amazon have been recalled after federal regulators found that they failed to meet mandatory flammability standards, creating a risk of serious injury or death in the event of a fire.
The recalls cover mattresses from Kesyup, WinxMattresses and Emerspring. None of the recalls involve reported injuries, but the Consumer Product Safety Commission says consumers should stop using the affected mattresses immediately. Here is all you should know.
The biggest recall involves Kesyup
The Kesyup recall accounts for more than 48,000 mattresses sold on Amazon between December 2024 and April 2026, with prices ranging from about $100 to $200. The 12-inch mattresses came in twin, full, queen and king sizes. They are recognizable by their white tops, blue sides and blue trim, and they were shipped in compressed boxes.
Another potentially useful ID check is “Prototype ID,” written on a sewn-in white label on one side of the mattress.
The problem with these mattresses is that they violate mandatory federal flammability requirements, meaning they can pose a serious fire hazard. Consumers with one of the recalled Kesyup mattresses should stop using it and contact ZCK01 for a full refund.
But there is a slightly unusual extra step. Owners will be asked to write “Recalled,” their name and the date on the top of the mattress using permanent marker, then photograph it and email the image to keysup123@163.com. After that, the mattress should be disposed of according to local or state requirements.
Some WinxMattresses were also recalled
Kesyup is not the only brand caught in the recall roundup. Another 792 WinxMattresses were also recalled after failing to meet mandatory flammability standards. These were 10-inch twin mattresses sold in black on Amazon from August 2025 through November 2025 for around $120.
Owners of these mattresses are being told to stop using them and contact Xinan Home for a full refund. Beyond that, they should write “RECALLED” on the mattress and its label, take photos and send them to the company before disposing of the mattress.
Emerspring popped up in another recall, but it’s different
Emerspring, with 263 mattresses, is also included in another recall. These 12-inch queen mattresses were sold on Amazon from January 2026 through May 2026 for about $226. They have white tops and sides with green trim. The sewn-in label should say “Prototype ID: ” and show a manufacturing date of 6/2025.
Unlike the other two recalls, Emerspring customers are not being told to get rid of the mattress entirely. Instead, Style Homeware will provide a free fitted cover designed to bring the mattress into compliance with mandatory flammability standards.
What to do if you bought one
If you bought a Kesyup, WinxMattresses or Emerspring mattress on Amazon, check its brand, size, appearance and sewn-in label against the recall information before continuing to use it. And if yours is affected, follow the specific remedy for that brand rather than simply throwing it away.
No injuries have been reported in connection with any of these three recalls so far. But considering the products are designed for you to sleep on for roughly eight hours a day, you want to take the warnings seriously.
