If you've purchased a particular type of magnesium supplement, you may be eligible for a cash payout as part of a class action settlement. The producers of Nutricost Magnesium Glycinate Supplements have agreed to pay a $1.84 million settlement resulting from incorrect marketing.

Allegations of misrepresenting the type and amount of magnesium

Magnesium supplements can help keep your bones strong, normalize your blood pressure, and keep your heartbeat steady. This is all dependent on getting the right amount of magnesium in your supplement.

Those who purchased Nutricost Magnesium Glycinate Supplements between Feb. 1, 2021 and June 8, 2026 may be very surprised to learn the company has been involved in a class action suit. The allegations were that Nutricost misrepresented the type and amount of magnesium used in its supplement.

The bottles in question had a label that claimed 420 milligrams of magnesium, calling it magnesium glycinate. The false claim violated consumer protection laws and breached warranties.

The company denies the allegations in the class action suit

Nutricost has denied the allegations, but did agree to pay out a settlement of $1.84 million. Agreeing to a settlement now means the company avoids the risk, expense, and delay of any further litigation being brought forward.

People can now file a claim for a payout and be granted up to $19.95 per bottle/unit purchased during the above-mentioned time period.

How to get your payment

Claim IDs and PINs are pre-assigned to known customers who receive direct mail or email notices. If you did not receive a notice, have no worries. You can still file a claim directly on the official settlement website www.CohenMAG.com by manually inputting your purchase information and providing your proof of purchase.

Other rules to be aware of include that you must have lived in the United States when you purchased the item, and that you purchased the product in either the 120-capsule or 240-capsule bottle.

You'll receive payment by mail or PayPal.

A good reason to keep your receipt

Class action suits are always a reminder of why it's worth keeping sales receipts. They are your proof of purchase and can result in a cash payout in cases like these.
