For many peanut butter lovers, Jif is the hands-down winner when it comes to flavor and texture. Well, now Jif is about to undergo a massive overhaul, the first in 30 years, but don't worry because its recipe isn't changing.

A fresh new look for the 30-year-old jars

It's been 30 years since Jif underwent any branding or logo makeovers, and it looks like the company is finally ready to shake things up.

The new packaging is meant to be modern and simple, with a tri-colored logo that sets it apart from the competition. The logo is also easier to read, which is essential in branding.

The new design will also be bolder with color and feature "snack ideas" on the front of every jar. The new look is meant to be eye-catching and inspiring.

Give its new formats and flavors a try

That's not it for the newness. Earlier this year, the brand also released a squeezable container for a handful of its flavors, like Peanut Butter & Chocolate spread and Jif Simply.

Jif Simply was launched in the spring and is a healthier take on peanut butter. It is an unsweetened, no-sugar-added peanut butter. This version has only three ingredients, which are peanuts, palm oil, and salt.

It hit shelves in March of this year.

The brand is hyping up the new look

The new packaging and logo are already getting hyped by the company, which can't wait for shoppers to see it in person.

“We’re excited to introduce a refreshed look for Jif that better celebrates the role the brand plays in consumers’ everyday lives,” said Shelly Kowal, Marketing Director at The J.M. Smucker Co., in a press release.

“This is our first major design update in more than 30 years, and we approached it with real intention," said Kowal.

Look for it on shelves

It's only a matter of time before you find the new packaging on shelves, and it could be a great opportunity to give some of its new formats and flavors a try.
