If you're a fan of shopping at Costco and taking advantage of its exclusive membership pricing, then finding a nearby location just got a lot easier for you. Costco announced plans to open 35 new locations by August 2026.

With many businesses in the country reporting a drop in sales, Costco seems to have found the secret to success.

Its 2025 Q4 and the full 2025 fiscal year both posted higher sales than the year prior. All you have to do is look around and realize that's impressive in this economy.

Driving the 8% increase in sales is bang for buck. When you shop at Costco and leave with your cart overflowing with groceries and household supplies that will last a month or more, you feel like you got a good deal.

Hunting for exclusive deals will be easier in 2026

With 35 new locations, you won't have to hunt too far and wide to find a deal. Five of these new locations are relocations, but the other 30 will be brand new stores.

“We continue to see significant opportunities for expansion both domestically and internationally across the markets where we currently operate,” said Ron Vachris, President and CEO of Costco.

Don't want to shop in person? No problem

Not everyone feels like getting in the car, driving to the nearest location, and dealing with the inevitable, notorious Costco crowd. This is why the company is also focusing on the e-commerce experience in 2026.

If you haven't tried shopping online with the retail giant, it may be worth giving it a go. The company has made checkout smoother and quicker.

Things like passwordless sign-in on the mobile app and digital waiting rooms for in-demand items actually make it fun to shop online.

Costco is putting customers first

With so many exciting announcements for 2026, Costco is putting customers first. This could be the perfect time to give bulk shopping a try and see what all the fuss is about.
