Sure, it may not be the first one to come to mind, but it's time to change your thinking. New research from NetCredit shows Whataburger gives customers the best value for the money.

How good is the value at Whataburger?

Everybody is feeling the pinch in their wallet. Money gets tighter, and the natural reaction is to look for savings. It looks like that is exactly what Whataburger is delivering.

All the big fast food chains like Burger King, Wendy's, and McDonald's went head-to-head with Whataburger and they all lost when it comes to price per ounce of meat.

If you like an oversized double, even triple-stacked burger, then Whataburger will give you the most bang for a buck.

Five Guys takes home the title of worst value

You know who offers the best value, but how about the worst? According to the research, that title goes to Five Guys. Its price-per-ounce was twice that of Whataburger.

That means you can get two burgers at Whataburger for the price of one at Five Guys. If you're trying to save money, this is an easy way to do it.

You'll have to eat elsewhere for high-value sides

Even though Whataburger is all about value-priced hamburgers, its sides aren't so much. The winner of the best value fries may come as a surprise because it's Shake Shack. They are known for their large portion of fries.
