If your idea of a good time is browsing through the many aisles at Costco, you'll be excited to hear you'll have even more items to choose from. Costco has announced it will be rotating new national brands and introducing lower prices.

Costco is a pro at building anticipation

The mere mention of new brands being added to Costco shelves is enough to build excitement. If you've shopped at Costco before, you know there's no guarantee that items will be restocked.

“Members enter the warehouse knowing that some products will only be available for a brief window. That anticipation creates a mental pattern driven by scarcity and urgency, two forces that have shaped shopping behavior for decades,” according to a report from Mojo Sales and Branding, a consumer-behavior consulting firm.

Most shoppers would agree that Costco does a great job at identifying and addressing trends. If there's a particular style, food, or tool that's trending, they know to strike while the iron's hot.

You may even be surprised at just how fast your local Costco stocks trendy items. In 2025, it was all about gold bars, Dubai chocolate, and gift cards from popular retailers like The Gap and Ulta.

Lower prices are on their way

If new brands don't excite you, then maybe the lower prices will.

“As always, our goal is to be the first to lower prices where we see opportunities to do so," said Costco CFO Gary Millerchip.

Millerchip listed some of the products that are going for lower prices, and they include some of Kirkland Signature's best. KS Chicken Pot Pie drops from $4.29 to $3.99 per pound while KS Bacon is down from $18.99 to $16.99 per packet.

KS Whipped Cream 3-pack also dropped from $10.49 to $8.99, and KS Walnuts 3-pound pack falls to $12.99 from $14.49.
