Popular Halloween candy recalled in 13 states

With Halloween just around the corner, some candy is already being recalled. Crystal Temptations, in coordination with the FDA, has recalled candies in 13 states sold under the Crystal Temptations brand, citing an undeclared allergen on the packaging.

Candy sold in a handful of stores

Crystal Temptations' "Chocolatey Eyeballs" failed to declare the presence of milk in their candy, which caused the FDA to recall them.

The 13 states affected by the recall are California, Virginia, Arizona, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Indiana, Nevada, Ohio, New Jersey, Wyoming and Connecticut.

The candy was sold at stores in these states, which were Sierra Trading Post, HomeGoods, TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

Several bags of the candy recalled

This product recall spans several different-sized bags of the "Chocolatey Eyeballs." That means there are different style numbers too.

Refunds not available in-store

Unlike standard product recalls where items can be returned to the store for a quick refund at the register, in-store refunds are not being offered for this item.

Instead, the manufacturer advises consumers to destroy the product immediately and contact Crystal Temptations directly with proof of purchase to process a refund.
