Popeyes launches One Piece meal with limited free boxes
If you're looking for a good excuse to get some grub at Popeyes, this may be it. The restaurant has teamed up with the Straw Hats to offer a limited-time One Piece menu that was inspired by Tony Tony Chopper.
Anime and chicken lovers can rejoice
You don't get to pair chicken with anime very often, but here we are. The new Popeyes x One Piece menu collab has already been rolled out in restaurants across the U.S. and Canada.
As mentioned, this is a limited-time offering, so you don't want to snooze on it.
A few different items on the menu
Rather than just one limited-time meal or item, this collab is a menu worth of options.
Included on the menu are: The Luffy Bento Box, with two pieces of Popeyes Signature Chicken and mac and cheese, is priced at $7.99. The Luffy Bento Bundle, with Popeyes Signature Chicken, mac and cheese, a Gum-Gum Fruit Lemonade, and Chopper's Cupcake, is priced at $13.99. Gum-Gum Fruit Lemonade, which is a fun take on lemonade featuring the fictional "Gum-Gum Fruit" that D. Luffy's powers are attributed to, is priced at $3.49. And finally, Chopper's Cupcake, which is a pink cake with matching pink icing, is priced at $3.99.
Get in on the merch drop as well
It doesn't stop at the limited-time menu. There is a merch drop to help hype the collab.
Some of the items you can purchase include t-shirts, keychains, and Bento Boxes. These items will be available on the Popeyes website starting on Apr. 15.
As you've probably guessed, the merch will be available for a limited time only.
An unexpected pairing that spells out fun
While this may seem like an unexpected pairing, restaurants are always looking for a way to generate buzz and excitement. In that sense, it seems like Popeyes has hit the mark. You'll want to get in on the food and merch before the collab wraps up.
