Popeyes brings back its famous $6 meal deal
Fast food prices have been climbing for years, which is why spotting an actual deal these days feels a little unusual. But starting June 1, Popeyes is once again offering its $6 Big Box meal at participating locations.
The deal includes your choice of two pieces of Signature Chicken or three Tenders, two regular sides, and one buttermilk biscuit. Customers can mix and match sides from the regular menu, including favorites like Cajun Fries, Coleslaw, and Red Beans & Rice.
If you're feeling a little extra, premium sides like Homestyle Mac & Cheese are available for an added charge.
The family deal is making a comeback too
Popeyes is also bringing back its $20 Family Meal for customers feeding more than one person. The bundle includes nine pieces of bone-in chicken or 11 tenders with one large side and four biscuits. For families, road trips, or anyone feeding a group, it is one of the chain's larger value offerings this summer.
One thing to keep in mind: neither deal includes drinks. So if you want something to wash down the chicken, you will need to add a drink separately. Options include sweet tea, lemonade, and a traditional fountain drink.
For larger orders, the chain also offers tea, lemonade, and fruit punch in resealable gallon containers for around $7.
Don't wait too long
The catch is that neither the $6 Big Box nor the $20 Family Meal is expected to stay around permanently. Like many limited-time promotions, the deals are designed to bring customers in for a short window before disappearing again.
So, you might want to treat it like a temporary summer reunion rather than a permanent menu change, and benefit from it as soon as possible. After all, it is not every day you find a full meal for six bucks.
