Calling all foodies, this is no April Fool's joke. It turns out that one of the assumed pranks that was posted on April Fool's Day was actually real. Dill Pickle Oreos aren't just a funny joke to make you cringe. This is real.

Even dill pickle lovers are cringing

Dill pickle is one of those flavors that ends up in a lot of strange pairings. Dill pickle flavored chips, hot wings, and cheese strings are fine and dandy, but when dill pickle is paired with something sweet—well, that's a different story.

Even if Oreos are your favorite cookie of all-time, there's a good chance this new flavor pairing is going to spark a "strong" reaction. It isn't exactly the mouth-watering pairing that people were begging for.

On the official Oreo Instagram page, the company posted a picture of classic Oreos with an actual dill pickle sandwiched in it. The caption on the post said it all.

"Prank?? I’m way too real for that... link in bio." If you click on the link, it takes you Oreo's site, where you can buy the Dill Pickle Flavored Fudge Cookies.

What to expect from the bold flavor

Let's just call Dill Pickle Oreo a "bold" flavor.

So this bold flavor features the typical creamy white center of the Oreo, but the outside cookies have a bright green fudge coating. Just as you are probably guessing, the green fudge coating is dill pickle flavored.

The flavor is available for a limited time. The six-pack of cookies sells for $10 on the Oreo website.
