Oreo launches 3 bizarre new flavors after fan vote
If you can't get enough of Oreo's limited edition flavors, you won't want to miss out on these new ones. Call them unique, call them bizarre, Oreo is releasing three first-of-their-kind flavors.
Bold and unique flavors
Not every Oreo collab is bound to be a hit with mass market appeal. Sometimes, it's about being unique and causing shoppers to take a second look.
The three new flavors are certainly unique, and are a far cry from standard flavors like cinnamon roll, birthday cake, and so forth. Oreo is dropping Banana Pudding, Chicken & Waffles, and Deep Fried Cookies for a very limited time.
A limited time to give them a try
What makes this drop even more unique is that it will be available for a very short time. Think of it as a taste-testing period.
You'll be able to try all three flavors and then take part in the fan vote when Oreo opens it. The company is putting customers in control by letting them pick which of the three flavors will return in 2027.
This isn't the first time Oreo has used this approach. Last year, the company let fans vote on discontinued flavors, and Cinnamon Bun Oreos was the winner. It returned to store shelves after a decade.
What to expect from the new flavors
Depending on your preference, the Deep Fried Cookies flavor may feel like the safest choice. This one will have layers of dark chocolate-flavored crèmes and fried dough sandwiched between two fried-dough-flavored cookies.
The Banana Pudding Oreos are bound to appeal to all the banana lovers out there. This one features vanilla crème and banana crème between vanilla wafer cookies.
Then we've got the boldest of the bunch, the Chicken & Waffles Oreos. This one is sweet and savory, with distinct fried chicken- and maple syrup-flavored crèmes between waffle-embossed cookies.
Hitting shelves soon
If you can't wait to give these Oreos a try, they will start to hit grocery store shelves on Aug. 24.
