Oreo just launched a new spring-themed collection that looks heavily inspired by its viral Cherry Blossom Matcha Oreo Thins drop from last year. Last year, people blinked and missed it. After its release, it basically disappeared immediately, with some people saying it sold out in under 20 minutes.

Now, Oreo is back with something close and slightly remixed.

The new flavors are giving “you missed it last time” energy

Oreo didn’t officially bring the viral flavor back. Instead, it dropped a new Springtime Forever collection that clearly takes inspiration from it.

The lineup includes Cherry Sakura and Strawberry Matcha. Both use Golden Oreos as the base, but as a twist, they are dipped in flavored fudge instead of the classic cream filling setup.

Cherry Sakura is designed to feel like a classic spring flavor. Light, floral, slightly sweet. The Strawberry Matcha option, on the other hand, leans more into contrast of earthy matcha and sweet strawberry.

You can’t just grab these at the store

These drops are not hitting regular grocery shelves. They are sold online only and available through Oreo’s official store. That is not unexpected, as this is more of a limited collection than an everyday snack.

Packaged as a box of 12, with six of each flavor, the collection is priced at $24.99. And if what happened last time is anything to go by, it probably won’t last long.

At this point, it is unclear whether the “small batch” Cherry Blossom Matcha Oreo Thins flavor is ever going to be back. But fans can grab either Cherry Sakura and Strawberry Matcha as they wait (endlessly or not) on the viral cookie flavor.
