Mountain Dew is bringing back a fan-favorite flavor after 6 years
Quick, name your favorite soda. If you answered Mountain Dew, then you'll probably be excited about the return of a fan favorite. After six long years, the brand has brought back Mountain Dew White Out to help celebrate Memorial Day and the 4th of July.
Back on shelves
Mountain Dew has released so many flavors over the years, but one that had a cult-like following was Mountain Dew White Out. Explained as a "smooth citrus" flavor, it's ideal for summer thanks to its crispness and freshness.
Some describe it as a less potent Sprite, a smooth soda, a lemon lime soda, and having a bright citrus taste.
This flavor was released in 2010 and was discontinued in 2019. At that time, there were plenty of people who were upset with the company's decision.
A variety pack gives customers an even bigger surprise
Mountain Dew isn't just bringing back one fan-favorite flavor, they are selling it as a variety pack. It includes Mountain Dew White Out, Mountain Dew Voltage Raspberry, and Mountain Dew Code Red Cherry.
The variety pack features 18 cans, six of each flavor. The company is describing it as an "American-themed variety pack," and it will be available in stores nationwide starting in mid to late May.
You won't be able to buy the throwback flavor as a standalone
Fans are quick to point out that White Out is only available in the variety pack. That can be good or bad, depending on how adventurous you are with Mountain Dew flavors.
Also important to note, if you're watching your sugar, this variety pack is only available as the full sugar iteration of each flavor.
The perfect way to cool down in summer
A cold soda can really hit the spot during hot summer days, and the throwback White Out flavor with its citrus freshness could be exactly what you're craving.
