McDonald's is giving kids and adults who are young at heart another reason to want a Happy Meal. A new limited-edition Happy Meal featuring 12 nostalgic toys has been released.

Inspired by Build-A-Bear

Happy Meals are always a popular menu item, but most of us know that the toys play a huge part in the popularity. With McDonald's teaming up with the iconic Build-A-Bear brand for the toy, this one is too adorable to skip.

Each Happy Meal offers one of 12 exclusive furry friend mini plush keyrings. The toys include colorful axolotls, teddies, the fan-favorite bunny plush character Pawlette, and more.

Some have a Halloween-themed twist

To make this limited-edition Happy Meal toy even more fun, four of the 12 keyrings have a Halloween-inspired look. There is a Frankenstein axolotl, a pumpkin teddy, a bat, and a black cat.

As an added bonus, be sure to keep your Happy Meal box because there is a £5 off coupon that can be used at Build-A-Bear when you spend £25. You can simply scan the QR code printed on the box to claim your voucher.

There are stickers in the Happy Meal box too, so kids can decorate the box or any other item.

The Build-A-Bear Workshop book is another collectible item you can get your hands on, and a digital dress-up game has been launched online to coincide with the drop.

A UK exclusive offering

Now comes the bad news. This nostalgic collab is only available at McDonald's locations in the UK.

There is no news about a potential release in the US, so it looks like FOMO may be what you're stuck with. The launch is meant to help families celebrate the half-term school holidays.

Look for more fun launches to come

Even though you won't be able to get your hands on these toys stateside, chances are McDonald's will have a fun drop of their own here.
