National Donut Day lands this Friday, and several major chains are celebrating with free donuts, discounted dozens, and deals that make a second breakfast feel completely reasonable. If you have been looking for an excuse to grab a donut, this is it. Let’s look at a handful of chains offering donuts with little to no strings attached.

Krispy Kreme is offering some of the best free donut deals

At Krispy Kreme, customers can walk into a participating shop and get a free donut on June 5. No purchase is required, and you can choose from an Original Glazed, sprinkled donut, or another available flavor.

Beyond the free donut giveaway, Krispy Kreme is also running a larger promotion.

From June 3 through June 5, customers who purchase any dozen donuts can grab an Original Glazed dozen for just $2.

For anyone showing up with office duty, family obligations, or a group chat that suddenly wants donuts, that's probably the biggest value of the week.

Dunkin' is bringing back a fan favorite offer

Dunkin' is once again offering a free donut with the purchase of any beverage. The baked goods company is also leaning into the celebration with special merchandise through its partnership with Stoney Clover Lane, including limited-edition bags, pouches, charms, and patches.

Addressing the deal, Jill Nelson, the chain’s chief marketing officer said, “National Donut Day is one of our favorite traditions at Dunkin’, and this year we’re making it even sweeter for our guests. From bringing back our free donut offer to expanding our Stoney Clover Lane collaboration and giving Dunkin’ Rewards members more ways to join in, we’re celebrating all week long.”

Other simple deals

Meanwhile, Duck Donuts is giving away one free classic donut with no purchase necessary. This is the closest thing to a true "just show up and eat" deal this year.

And there is Sheetz keeping things straightforward with an offer for customers to buy a fountain drink, coffee, or bottled beverage, and get a free donut on June 5.

Convenience stores are joining the party too

Beyond donut shops, 7-Eleven is offering members of its 7Rewards and Speedy rewards programs unlimited classic glazed donuts for 50 cents each. This deal can be found at participating locations across 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores in the U.S.

The chain is also discounting mini donut packs to $1, with flavors including chocolate, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, and toasted coconut crunch.
