Kraft launches Mac and Cheese flavored ramen noodles
Here's a food collab that not only sounds great but sounds like something that was meant to happen. Kraft Mac & Cheese is pairing up with ramen noodles to give you Cheesy Ramen Noodles, available in a handful of flavors.
A bold move into a new category
This isn't just a fun little collab; it is the first time Kraft Mac & Cheese has moved into a new category in a whopping two decades.
The launch features individual microwaveable bowls of noodles in three different flavors. Choose from chicken, pork or spicy, just like with packs of ramen noodles.
These bowls are designed for convenience and are ready in 3.5 minutes. The bowls make it easy for anyone to cook and quickly enjoy a hot meal.
Not available in stores yet
Before you get too hyped to get your hands on the new collab, you're going to need to be patient. Despite being announced by Kraft Heinz, it won't be available until April 2027.
The company has also announced it will expand the line further, offering ramen brick multipacks as well as the cups.
Ramen as a food category has grown 9% year over year, especially with younger people who crave different flavors and collabs. Considering Kraft Heinz set aside $700 million to boost innovation and marketing this year, it seems like a natural pairing.
Cheesy Ramen checks off a few boxes
Besides convenience, the Cheesy Ramen bowls are set to check off the price category too. Bowls will be priced at $2.99, making them below the price point of premium offerings.
These bowls are also free of artificial dyes and flavors and have nine grams of protein per serving. This will appeal to the more health-conscious eaters out there.
“As Kraft Mac & Cheese celebrates its 90th birthday, we’re continuing to find new ways to bring the cheesy goodness fans have loved for generations to life,” Nicolas Henault, vice president of marketing for Kraft Mac & Cheese, said in a statement.
An instant favorite
There's a good chance that once you get your hands on Cheesy Ramen, it'll become an instant favorite.
