KFC is about to look and feel a whole lot different. The fast-food chain has released a new menu with lots of new items for customers to try, and combined that with a restaurant makeover.

Call it a brand refresh

This is more than just a couple of new items added to the menu; KFC is undergoing a full brand refresh. The goal is to expand its menu and give customers a new reason to visit in the process.

We all know how impactful FOMO can be, and KFC is banking on it. By getting a fresh new look, complete with the logo, the restaurant dining space, and the menu, it almost makes the entire experience feel new.

Instead of a flat cartoon, the classic logo is shifting to a sleek, three-dimensional look. The iconic bucket has been redesigned to sit front and center, while Colonel Sanders himself gets a warmer, modernized facial expression. Even the font you read on the menu boards is getting a custom upgrade with two bespoke typefaces: Kentucky Fried Serif and Kentucky Fried Sans

Where KFS makes things really interesting

The culinary side of this refresh is where things get truly appetizing. Recognizing that younger consumers favor customization, KFC is pivoting heavily into an expanded lineup of boneless chicken offerings, customized snacking items, and bold dipping flavors

The menu revamp introduces three major pillars:

  • The Global Sauce Pantry: A massive rollout of over 20 localized signature dipping sauces—including regional standouts like Chimichurri Ranch and Hot Honey Habanero.
  • The "Dunked" Lineup: A messy, crave-worthy menu tier where chicken tenders, wings, and sandwiches come entirely drenched in these new signature glazes.
  • KWENCH by KFC: A permanent new beverage platform explicitly designed for sweet indulgence, serving up everything from boba refreshers and milkshakes to sparkling lemonades.

The chain is calling it the "next chapter" as these changes roll out globally.

Competition is forcing KFC to stay fresh

While there are likely several reasons for the overhaul, the brand cites the rather crowded and competitive chicken market. To stay relevant and strengthen its position, it needs a refresh.

In this scenario, you, the diner, are the winner. You can look forward to all kinds of changes that aim to make KFC feel more unique.

"As the global appetite for chicken grows, KFC is answering the call," said KFC Global CEO Scott Mezvinsky in a statement.

KFC has the opportunity to "set the standard for modern chicken" in the quick-service restaurant industry, he added.

Look for more boneless chicken offerings

One of the biggest pushes with this brand refresh is to expand the lineup of boneless chicken offerings.

This includes tenders that are specifically made for dipping into a huge selection of signature sauces. KFC now has over 20 dipping sauces, tailored to local markets.

The new look and menu items have already been popping up in Ireland and the UK, with the United States and Australia to be next on the list.

All new reasons to hit up KFC in 2026

If KFC has left you with a lukewarm feeling, it may be worth checking out it out in 2026 as the brand refresh rolls out.
