In-N-Out reveals six new locations across five states
Sometimes you just crave a juicy burger and fries, and that's exactly what In-N-Out Burger is known for. Now it will be easier to find an In-N-Out Burger joint, as the chain has announced six new stores across five states.
A rare expansion story in the fast food market
Not only is In-N-Out Burger announcing new locations, but it's also bucking the trend in the fast-food industry. With so much competition, inflation, and rising labor costs, many fast-food chains are downsizing and not considering opening new locations.
Born on the West Coast, the burger joint now has more than 430 locations across the country.
The new locations will be in:
- Commerce, California
- Stockton, California
- San Tan Valley, Arizona
- Madison, Tennessee
- Twin Falls, Idaho
- St. George, Utah
Ingredients hamper how far the burger chain can expand
Unlike many other big fast food chains, In-N-Out Burger doesn't franchise its locations. The company has also stated it has no plans of moving farther east than Tennessee.
The chain is notorious for using fresh ingredients and doesn't use freezers. This means the location needs to be close enough for the company's beef production facilities to reach it.
The fresh ingredients help the burgers to stand out, no doubt, but it means those on the East Coast will miss out.
The restaurant is resisting the digital age
Another thing that makes In-N-Out Burger unique is that, so far, it has managed to resist the digital transformation. Right now, there are no plans to offer an app or an online ordering portal.
This gives the chain a more personal vibe, something that many customers are looking for.
Counting down the days
There's no official word yet on the actual opening dates, but if you live near any of the new locations, you'll want to keep your eyes open for an announcement.
