Dunkin is adding 17 new items to its summer menu

There's no better way to celebrate the start of summer than with some tasty treats. Dunkin' has you covered with 17 new menu items for summer, eight of which are new drinks.

A mixed bag of new, a returning favorite, and an unexpected collab

Scanning through the new summer menu, you're getting a real mixed bag here. Some are new flavors and concoctions, and then there are even some fan favorites returning.

It's clear the theme is lighter, brighter, and fruitier. There's also a nod to the 250th anniversary to the United States.

Now here's where things are less expected: Dunkin' is collaborating with Barbie. It may seem a bit out of left field, since Barbie isn't having a big moment right now, but clearly the restaurant chain felt differently.

Fitting right in with the light and bright summer vibes, all the Barbie-themed menu items are eye-catching. We're talking about the Barbie Pink Strawberry Cold Foam, which can be added to all the existing Dunkin' drinks.

The Ultimate Pink Daydream Refresher is a new offering. As its name implies, it is meant to cool you down and refresh you on a hot summer day.

Other strawberry-topped drinks include the Pink Mango Daydream Refresher, Double Strawberry Daydream Refresher, Strawberry Cloud Matcha, Pink Cherry Daydream Refresher, Almond Strawberry Shortcake Iced Coffee, and Strawberries & Creme Cloud Dunkalatte.

New food items to check out

If drinks aren't your thing, new food items are being launched, too. These are the Golden BBQ Hash Brown Wake Up Wrap, the Golden BBQ Loaded Hash Browns, and a Rocket Pop Donut.

The donut is meant to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. It's decked out with blue icing and topped with stars and stripes sprinkles. The donut itself is filled with raspberry, lime, and cherry buttercream, a nod to the flag.
