Cracker Barrel launches new meals starting under $10

Busy parents don't always have time to whip up meals, but many are also feeling the pinch in their wallets. Enter Cracker Barrel with its new "value options" and it could be the answer parents are looking for.

Meals starting at $9.99

It's hard to walk into a restaurant and find a "deal" nowadays, but that's exactly what Cracker Barrel is offering with its new lineup. The meals are available now and start at $9.99.

"Fall can feel like a sprint for families. Between school, practices, activities and everything else packed into the week, getting everyone around the table can feel like a win," said Sarah Moore, chief marketing officer at Cracker Barrel. "We want Cracker Barrel to make that a little easier, with food everyone can get excited about, value families can feel good about and the kind of welcome that lets them simply enjoy being together."

Tasty new options to try

Now for the important part: the menu options.

You can pick from:

BBQ Smokestack Homestyle Chicken - The Crispy Homestyle Chicken sandwich with fried onion, crispy bacon, melted Colby cheese, and sweet barbecue sauce.
Maple Bacon Homestyle Chicken - The Crispy Homestyle Chicken sandwich with crispy bacon, melted Colby cheese, cool ranch drizzle, and sweet maple glaze.

If you or your kids are all about the sauces, then the sauced selections might be right up your alley. Choose from the Nashville Hot Homestyle Chicken with a signature Nashville Hot sauce, or the Honey Butter Homestyle Chicken with a sweet honey butter.

While these items aren't part of the value collection, there are some other new seasonal items. Available until Oct. 18 are the Carrot Cake, Apple Cobbler Cheesecake, Granny Smith Apple Tea, Sweet Honey Latte, and the Granny Smith Apple Mimosa.

Seasonal breakfast items include Sweet Cream Caramel Apple French Toast and Sweet Cream Caramel Apple Pancakes.
